Welcome to Hire My Ride. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our outstation cab booking platform and services, including Outstation One Way and Outstation Round Trip rides. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

• "Service" refers to the Hire My Ride outstation cab booking platform and all related services.
• "User" / "Passenger" refers to any individual using our platform to book a ride.
• "Driver" refers to a registered cab driver who accepts and fulfils ride requests through our platform.
• "Ride" refers to a single trip from a pickup location to a destination booked through the platform.
• "Ride Request" refers to the booking made by a User that is matched to and fulfilled by a Driver.
• "OneWay Trip" refers to a single outstation trip from the origin to the destination with no return journey included.
• "RoundTrip" refers to an outstation trip from the origin to the destination and back, with the fare calculated over the full round-trip distance.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid mobile number for account verification and ride notifications
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

3. Account Registration

When you create an account with Hire My Ride:

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Ride Service

Booking a Ride

• Users select a trip type (OneWay or RoundTrip), enter origin and destination cities, and choose a departure date and time
• For RoundTrip bookings, a return date must also be selected; the fare is calculated over twice the one-way route distance
• Available vehicle categories and fare estimates are displayed on the ride listing page; the user selects their preferred vehicle
• The user reviews the booking details and confirms; a booking reference number (format: HMR-YYYY-XXXXXX) is generated
• Booking confirmation is sent via SMS or in-app notification
• Ride requests are matched to registered drivers; driver details are shared upon assignment

Driver Fulfillment

• Registered drivers independently accept and fulfil ride requests on the platform
• Drivers are verified and required to hold a valid commercial driving licence
• Hire My Ride acts as an intermediary platform connecting passengers with drivers
• Drivers are independent service providers and not employees of Hire My Ride

Ride Conduct

• Users must be at the designated pickup location at the confirmed time
• Users must behave respectfully towards drivers at all times
• Users must not ask drivers to violate traffic laws or take unauthorised routes
• Hire My Ride reserves the right to suspend users who misuse the platform

5. Payment Terms

• Ride fares comprise a base fare, per-kilometre distance charge, time charge, waiting charges (if applicable), a service charge, applicable toll charges, and 5% GST on the subtotal
• Payment is due at the completion of the ride unless prepaid at booking
• We accept Cash, Credit/Debit Card, UPI, Net Banking, and Wallet payments
• Toll charges, if applicable, are borne by the passenger and are added to the fare
• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR)
• Fare estimates provided at booking are subject to change based on actual trip distance and duration
• For RoundTrip bookings, the fare is calculated on the full round-trip distance (2× the one-way route distance)

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by User

• Cancellations made before a driver is assigned: No charge
• Cancellations made after a driver has been assigned may incur a cancellation fee
• Repeated cancellations may result in temporary suspension of your account
• No-shows after driver arrival may incur a waiting or no-show fee

Cancellation by Driver or Hire My Ride

A driver may cancel a ride request prior to pickup. Hire My Ride will attempt to match you with another available driver. If no driver is available, any prepaid amount will be fully refunded. We reserve the right to cancel bookings in case of safety concerns or violation of these Terms.

7. User Responsibilities

When using Hire My Ride ride services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations
• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not board the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Not smoke or consume food in the vehicle without the driver's consent
• Treat the driver and their vehicle with respect and care
• Not ask the driver to violate traffic laws or deviate from the agreed route without mutual consent
• Report any safety incidents or concerns to Hire My Ride immediately
• Pay the applicable fare and any additional charges as displayed on the platform

8. Insurance and Liability

• Drivers are required to maintain valid vehicle insurance as mandated by applicable law
• Hire My Ride is not liable for personal injury or property damage arising from a ride
• Passengers are advised to wear seat belts at all times during the ride
• Any accidents or safety incidents must be reported to local authorities and to Hire My Ride immediately
• Users who cause damage to a driver's vehicle may be held liable for repair costs
• Gross negligence or violation of these Terms may result in full liability being attributed to the responsible party

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our platform or ride services for:

• Illegal activities or purposes
• Transporting illegal goods or substances
• Harassing, threatening, or intimidating drivers
• Sharing your account with or booking rides on behalf of others in a commercial reselling capacity
• Providing false pickup or destination information to manipulate fares
• Exceeding the vehicle's stated passenger capacity
• Transporting hazardous materials

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on our platform are owned by Hire My Ride or our licensors. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
• Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access our source code
• Create derivative works based on our platform

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Hire My Ride is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the fare amount paid by you for the specific ride in question
• We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or driver unavailability due to circumstances beyond our control
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Drivers are independent contractors and not employees or agents of Hire My Ride

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hire My Ride, its officers, directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

14. Dispute Resolution

In case of any disputes:

• First, contact our customer support to resolve the issue amicably
• If unresolved, disputes will be subject to mediation
• Any legal proceedings will be governed by Indian law
• Jurisdiction will be with the courts in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through our platform. Your continued use of our services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services:

• For violation of these Terms
• For fraudulent or illegal activities
• For non-payment of fees
• For abusive or threatening behavior
• At our sole discretion for any reason

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by us, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hire My Ride regarding the use of our services.
